Queenslander Conquers ANZPT Gold Coast
A Queenslander took down the ANZPT Gold Coast title this weekend, defeating an all Aussie final table.
The Jupiters Hotel and Casino played host to a relatively speedy final that went from nine players to heads-up in three hours.
It was there that Nauv Kashyap defeated fellow Queenslander Ricky Kroesen after another three hours of heads-up play.
A dentist and cash game player from Brisbane, this was Kashyap’s first PokerStars ANZPT event and he walked away with the AUD$182,965 first-place prize.
Kroesen, who has played every one this season, earned AUD $116,235.
The AUD$2,500 main event drew 287 players creating an AUD$717,250 prize pool that paid 32 places.
