In his new role with the online poker site, Lynch will be driving all decisions around the product, promotions and player communication.

“I am personally looking forward not only to the opportunity to continue to work with the outstanding LockPRO team, but also to interact with the Lock players and really explore what we can do to improve on all levels,” he said.

Jake Cody’s stellar form in 2010 was recognised this week, as the Rochdale pro was awarded the European Poker Awards Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year titles at the Queenie Club in Paris.

With an EPT title, WPT bracelet and over $1,700,000 in live tournament winnings, Cody was arguably the UK’s most successful player in 2010. And with an UKIPT High Roller title to his name already in 2011, no one will argue against the youngster fattening his pockets over the next 12 months.

Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom

Blom, who became a Team PokerStars Pro in December while still under the Isildur1 alias, was revealed as the notorious online high stakes player when he took his seat in a $10,000 promotional 100-hand heads-up match against Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier.

The 20-year-old Swede was nonchalant about finally confirming what many hailed as the worst kept secret of the poker world.

“I think a lot of people have known for a long time who I really am, so it didn’t make a big difference to me,” said Blom.
Isildur1 took the poker world by storm in the fall of 2009 when he played several of the biggest hands in the history of online poker against the likes of Tom Dwan, Brian Hastings, Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey.

Known in the poker community for his reckless play Blom famously appeared on Full Tilt Poker, spun his roll up to over $5 million with huge wins against Dwan and Ivey but then lost it all and more, mainly to Hastings.

Blom joins a team of world-class players including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Vanessa Rousso and Grospellier.
“I think I’m the best online heads-up No-Limit Hold’em player in the world but I’m looking forward to learning a lot from the other Team pros and helping them with their games, too,” he said.

Blom went on to say that he particularly had a large amount of respect for Negreanu and Norwegian teammate Pro Johnny Lodden.

With his identify officially out in the open, Blom said he had plans to play more European Poker Tour events in the future.
