Carter Phillips champ of EPT Barcelona
The winner of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona event is Carter Philips. Philips entered the final day of the main event of the EPT tourney as the chip leader, and managed to play his lead all the way to the end, defeating all comers to claim the €850,000 top prize. Marc Goodwin took second place and €530,000, while local player Santiago Terrazas managed third and €300,000. Carter Philips victory is the biggest for the American player, and doubly significant because he qualified for the event on the event sponsor’s online poker room, PokerStars.
